To Jehovah`s witnesses.

The witnesses of Jehovah have begun to use widely the New World Translation of the Bible, however sometimes, especially during the sermon in the houses, some odd cases happen which stumble the beginning listeners of gospel, who use the synod translation of the Bible, the most widespread among the Russian-language population.
And the matter is not, that the translation of the New World includes the name of Jehovah in all of the prescribed places of the Scriptures. Such funny things take place at the moments, when texts of the same places of synod translation do not coincide in sense with the same texts of the New World Translation.
In cases, if texts of different translations of the Bible coincide in sense, for the researcher of the Bible there is no complication to trust to what is written. However, if the same text of the Bible has in a few variants of translations different sense, then it is very difficult to modern person, who doesn`t have Hebrew and ancient Greek original sources, and doesn`t know Hebrew and Greek languages, to choose, which from the texts to consider the word of Jehovah and to accept for a truth. Thus, one thing, when expressions or details are changed in the translation, but they do not affect the "basis" of the Biblical doctrines, and quite the other thing, if the Biblical doctrines are built on the texts which had been changed, and it is done by those who changed this sense.
Facing these facts, the witnesses of Jehovah behave in different way. Some find the help of other variants of translations, compare the texts and try to determine, with which variant of translation to agree? Some declare authoritatively, that to trust or not trust the translation of the New World – is the question of the trust to the organization. And that frighten off the curious beginning researchers of the Bible.
But actually there is nothing wrong when the thinking person pays attention to such difference in sense.
WT from 01.10.97. p.20 par.15 gives advice for such cases of doubts: "..if you doubt in the accuracy of translation, try to compare it with older translations". Publication of Society of 2003. "Reasoning of the Scriptures'" also reports that some translators of the Bible assumed "liberties", distorting the sense of the Scriptures. But such failings can be exposed by comparison of different translations - p.49, par.3
Because the New World Translation is comparatively new, let`s use the advice of Society and compare with the older different translations a few different in sense texts of the New World Translation, first those which do not influence the basis of the Biblical doctrines and then those which influence the Biblical doctrines. But first let`s find out the answers to the following questions:

1                 What is the peculiarity of the translations of the Bible, done in the period of the last days of this system of things?

2                 Why do we trust more the old translations of the Bible, then those which are done in the last days?

3                 About some shortcomings of literal translations

Answer to the first question :

(to the beginning)

What is the peculiarity of the translations of the Bible, done in the period of the last days of this system of things?

Recently with the development of new typographic possibilities and mastering of modern high-speed methods of printing, possibility appeared not only to increase the edition of the Bibles, but also many persons appeared interested to publish their own translations. For example, from 1950 till 1990 – 55 new translations of the New Testament appeared in English, including the New World Translation - WT 01.12.04 p.30. Nowadays most confessions have their own translations on which they built their own doctrines.

The bible cautions that in the last days of this system of things the Earth will be flooded by the wide "assortment" of false doctrines and false teachers from the spiritual opponent of Jehovah – devil, who exactly in the last days of his existence will activate extremely with purpose ‘to deceive the very select” - Mat.24:24, 2 Tim.4:3,4, 1John 4:1, Rev.12: 12. Because many doctrines are guided with the Scriptures and "supported" by their own translations, there is the probability, that some texts of the Bible can be distorted by modern translators under the guidance of "father of lie".
Thus, we shouldn`t expect that, showing the incorrect way to the inexperienced "baby" , who reads the Bible, he will do it in form of "rough jerk": evident distortion and fragrant disparity of the sense of the Scriptures will be obviously noticeable. As, for example, a half-jar of ink in the glass of clean water will do it obviously undrinkable, but the drop of ink will not spoil its look

.         Therefore in the last days of his existence this "false angel" of light can induce false teachers, who serve to him, to intersperse these distorted texts very thinly, little by little - by a few texts - skillfully during the construction of the Biblical doctrines and to distort the Scriptures imperceptibly with the purpose of averting the people from truth.
Because the text of the whole Bible is very difficult for a beginner, very often biblical verses are used or read out to the listeners in form of fragments, taken out from the context. For example, the devil quoted the Scriptures in the talk with Jesus - Mat.4:6. And if Jesus did not know the spiritual essence of His Father, He could be led into error by quotation from the Scriptures and impelled to sin against Jehovah.
Exactly, pursuing the purpose to lead into error the person ignorant in the Scriptures, it is possible, for example, through a few fragments, taken out from the context, to convince him for example, both that he will live in the future in the skies - Phil.3:20, Kol.1:5, and that he will live on the earth - Ps.36:29, Mat.5:5 in hope, that he will not have the desire to get at the roots of things, because it is very difficult. It is thus possible to convince him to trust the "teacher" and even to show the text about greater responsibility of teachers before Jehovah, than of the listeners - Jac.3:1.
Manipulating skillfully with one or another biblical text a " false teacher" composes one or another type of the Biblical doctrine. And ignorant in the Scriptures listener chooses that "truth" , which “fits” harmoniously to his way of life and justifies his acts. As the Bible warns, in the last days  "after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears. And they shall turn away their ears from the truth." -2Tim.4:3, John 17:17.

Answer to the second question:
(to the beginning)

Why do we trust more the old translations of the Bible, then those which are done in the last days?

        For minimum three reasons:

        a) Jehovah Himself cared that the Bible till the moment of the last days was translated without distortions into many languages. According to the prophecy of Daniel 12:4, His anointed sovereigns of the last days must read undistorted Bible, it would be impossible otherwise to open the truth in it and to increase in knowledge. (about the involvement of Jehovah in the maintenance of the undistorted variant of old translations see WT.01.10.97 p.10-20)

        b) The WT Society advises that the cases of doubt during the search of truth in modern translations were settled by the method of comparison with older different translations.

        c) The probability of distortion of the sense of veritable doctrines according to the warnings of the Bible will arise up especially in the period of the last  days of this system of things before the day of Jehovah - Ps.119:126 reports, when it is time for him to act: "It is time for Lord to work: for they have made void thy law" .

The list and short information about the Bibles of a few older translations of different times and nations is given below, which will be used in the article for comparison of the texts which don`t coincide in sense with the New World Translation:
1.Synod Bible - 1868 -1875, published by sacred Synod of the Russian orthodox church. The translations of archimandrite Macarius and Gerasim Pavskiy are used in it – (preface to edition of Society of the Holy Scriptures in the translation of Macarius)
2.Translations of archimandrite Macarius ( Michael Glukharev, 1792-1847) and archpriest, confessor of the emperor Alexander 11, the doctor of theology, professor of Jewish Gerasim Pavskiy (1787-1865) - these translators were pursued by Synod for an attempt to make the word of Jehovah accessible for all Russian people. They translated Hebrew and ancient Greek manuscripts, but not Slavonic Bible, which came to Russia in the 10th century.
        3. Geneva Bible - 1560, published by the group of people, hiding from religious pursuits, aspiring to pass the spirit and sense of ancient manuscripts exactly – more detailed see “Awake!” 22.08.04, p.12
        4. The Bible of king Jacob - England, 1611. The basis of this Bible is a large part of translation of Geneva Bible.
        5. Literal translation of ancient Greek and Hebrew manuscripts of professor Ivan Ogijenko into Ukrainian language, 1962
        6. Tanakh - written TORA - prophets and 5 books of Moses in the translation of Yosifon
        7. The translation of manuscripts by professor L.Lutkovskiy

( We don`t use the modern translation, because its authors and their professional skills as translators of Hebrew and ancient Greek languages are unknown. All the texts except for the Bible of king Jacob are given in the interlineal translation from Russian and Ukrainian.)

Answer to the third question:
(to the beginning)

About some shortcomings of literal translations

In order to translate the holy texts word for word, (all translators aim at it lately), it is not enough to have enormous dictionary of Hebrew or ancient Greek words. It is not enough also to have the knowledge of grammar of original languages. The spiritual language of truth is far more difficult than foreign language for a foreigner. The translator of the Bible ought to understand the spiritual essence of what is going on in the holy texts. Jehovah cares of it -1John 2:20,27. For example, when it is said about Jesus, that He is a "stone" (literal translation), one should not understand this word literally - Eph.2:20.
Bewilderment arises up sometimes also during literal perception of the Biblical texts, for example: literal translation of Genesis 40:13 sounds so: ".. three days will not pass and the pharaoh will raise your head.."
To the reader, who does not know the Egyptian hierarchy, such translation will not say anything in fact. However, reading this text in an "understandable" form, he will realize that near to the text of original source the phrase – “will raise your head " - means “will forgive you"
Word for  word translation, incomprehensible to an ignorant in the Scriptures person interpreted literally, the anointed sovereign is capable to paraphrase, not distorting the sense of sacred words. He must be able to "prophesy" – 1Cor.14:22,24 - to care of giving to the invisible spiritual truth the verbal forms, easily understandable to all of the beginners - "barbarians" – 1Cor.14:9-13.
The anointed sovereign has the responsibility before the Ruler - not to bring into His truth lie on behalf of Jehovah, forming it into verbal doctrines – 2 Cor.2:17, 4:2, therefore apostle James advises to be careful in aspiration to become the spiritual teachers – James 3:1.
Circumstance that NW Translation, for example, calls the Old and New Testaments of the Bible just the Jewish and Greek Scriptures, firstly, belittles and distorts the understanding of the essence of agreement of Jehovah with the people of old days and the essence of His agreement with Christians. Secondly, it smoothes over the understanding of impossibility to please Jehovah by meticulous execution of points of His written (old) agreement and to become just from such execution -2Cor.3:6. Thirdly, one loses the opportunity to understand why Jehovah had to abolish the Old written Testament and to conclude the new one, "written" on the tables of heart  -Jer.31:31,33 And, finally, to consider that the new names of different historical agreements, thought of by the translators of NWT, are better than the names, given by Jehovah, is presumptuous and unreasonably.
Now we will go back to the beginning of the article and will compare the identical Biblical texts of a few variants of translation in sense. We will compare at first "harmless" distortions of sense - not influencing the correct spirituality of servants of Jehovah: Note: 1. All, who begin to translate the ancient copies of the Scriptures should remember: after the translation the sacred text must remain the word of Jehovah.  2. It is impossible to assess the degree of interference of Jehovah into the matter of every translator of all times, as well as it is impossible to assert that all the translators are moved by Jehovah -1Cor.2:11.   3.The known facts about translators: a)if a translator has the spiritual gift from Jehovah - to understand the spirit of His word, his translation is near in sense to the word of Jehovah -1John 2:20,27;  b) if Jehovah impelled a few translators of different parts of the earth and different times, their translation must be, at least, near to identical in sense.

Malachi 1:10:

Synod Bible - "It is better that anybody from you would lock the doors, in order not to hold the fire My altar in vain. There is no My goodwill to you.."
Tanakh - "somebody of you should close the door! And not light the fire on My altar in vain! I needn`t you.” The sense of these translations is that Jehovah does not pay attention any longer at service, conducted in the temple for Him. The fire burns on the altar in vain in the meaning "for nothing”, "without benefit" for them. It comports also with Is.1:13, their gifts are vain, Jehovah does not accept them.

King James Bible – “Who is there even among you that would shut the doors for nought? Neither do you kindle fire on mine altar for nought. I have no pleasure in you – saith the Lord of hosts.”
New World - "who also is there among you that will shut the doors? And you men will not light my altar – for nothing".
The sense of this translation is the other. And the keyword of this text - "in vain" is here translated in sense "free of charge" - "without payment for labor" . WT 01.05.02, p.12 explains that priests took money for locking the door and lighting the fire.
Which  of variants do you want to accept for the word of Jehovah?
For clarification we will use else the translation of archpriest Macarius: "..let better anybody from you lock the gates, and would not hold vainly the fire on My altar! Because there is no My goodwill to you, says Lord of sabaoth"
The sense of this translation coincides with the sense of synod translation and Tanakh. And if to connect this text with the context of other prophets, it will become obvious: the truth of Jehovah is the following: it is useless to continue to serve Jehovah until one corrects his ways -Is.1:15-18.
Such lacks of coincidence are "harmless" in that sense, that nothing is cardinally changed in the pillars of the biblical doctrines of witnesses of Jehovah, life according to them does not lead to sins against God. Rather, these lacks of coincidence simply induce to read the texts of the New world translation more attentively, for example: 2 Tim.3:13, 1Peter 3:4, James 4:5, Acts 17:11
In cases, when the changed sense distorts the spirit of the Bible of Jehovah, the danger arises up because of the wrong understanding if not to sin, then not to do something for Jehovah. For example :

John 5:39:

Synod translation - "Probe the Scriptures."
        Ogijenko - "Study the Scriptures”.

King James Bible – “Search the scriptures”
        L.Lutkovskiy - " Study the Scriptures."
New World Translation - "You are searching the Scriptures."

Evidently, that the sense and the mood of translations of professors - linguists of ancient languages - differ from the sense of NWT: imperative "study" in form of advice of Jesus – is changed on narrative "you study" and, thus, does not induce the readers of this text to probe the Scriptures in order to get to know the predictions of arrival of Messias. Possibly, this text in the NWT will be used in order to leave the right for research of the Scriptures exceptionally to the members of legal corporation "Watchtower Society", living in Brooklyn and working in Brooklyn Bethel.

Proverbs 14:17 :

Synod translation - "a man, intentionally doing evil things is hated"
Tanakh -"..the hot-tempered accomplishes foolishness, ill-intentioned – is hated"

Ogijenko -"a man who is quickly in anger acts foolishly, the evil-intended one is hated"
King Jacob - " He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated"
New World  Translation "He that is quick to anger will commit foolishness, but the man of thinking abilities is hated”
According to most translations a man who violates the principles of Jehovah intentionally (consciously, planned) - does evil – is hated by Him. The other places of the Scriptures also say about it - Numbers 15:27,30.
Obviously, the New World Translation differs considerably in sense from other translations: if to perceive the words of this translation as appeal of Jehovah to Himself personally, then according to this translation  it is bad for the reader of the Bible to have  thinking abilities.
However, knowing from other places of the Scriptures that a man was created in image and after likeness of Jehovah, who possesses the incomprehensible thinking abilities, and also about His wish to a man - to use discretion, to reflect and not to be like reckless animals which do not think logically, it is impossible to believe that Jehovah does not recommend us to have thinking abilities - Gen.1:26, Prov 4:26, 2:11, Psal.31:9.- Synod Bible
Certainly, WT 15.07.05 p.19 gives a few variants of explanations to this translation, it is possible to accept any of them for a fact, however the inexperienced reader, not having this issue of WT, having read this at least strange text from the Bible of the New World Translation, certainly will come in confusion ( from own experience of sermon). Or he will stop to reflect, accepting this warning as guidance to the action. And it will be good yet, if he will not begin to require it from the others.

1 Timothy 6:8:

Synod translation – “having subsistence and clothes, let us be satisfied with it."
Geneva - " having clothes and meal, be satisfied with it"
Ogijenko - "If we have food and clothes, let`s be satisfied with it"
King Jacob - "having food and raiment let us be therewith content"
New World Translation  - "So, having sustenance and covering, we shall be content with these things";  in the Russian variant in the interlineal translation: “So, having food, clothes and dwelling, we shall be content with these things.”
It is evidently, that the word "house” in the New World Translation in Russian language is added. Why ? - Proverbs 30:6.
The fact that the first Christians, including Jesus, did not attach to the personal dwelling is the fact known from the Bible - Mat.8:20b, 10:11. Their dwellings were the houses, in which they were accepted during the sermon. Therefore it is quite clear, why Paul did not speak about the presence of the personal dwelling for a preaching Christian.
If a modern Christian, reading the New World Translation, will accept this advice, that not having personal literal dwelling, according to this text he can not be satisfied with his life, then he can spend his time and forces with quiet conscience not on service to Jehovah, but on acquisition of a personal house or flat, without which the "list" of prosperity for the servant of God is incomplete.

Psalm 67:19,  Ephesians 4:8

Synod translation - "You ascended on a height, captivated a captivity, accepted gifts for men ( gave gifts to men)"
Translation of Pavskiy - "You ascended on a height, accepted captives, accepted gifts for men."
        I. Ogijenko - "having ascended on high you accepted captives and gave gifts to men"
Tanakh - " ..walked up in height, took a captivity, accepted gifts for people.."
King Jacob - "gave gifts for men."
New World - " When he ascended on high he carried away captives, gave gifts in form of men "
Compare also - Rom.12:6-8, where different spiritual gifts are also enumerated, but they are described as "gifts to the people", but not "in form of people"
Evidently, that most translations report about gifts to the people (for the people). The gift from Jehovah for people - whether apostolic, or teaching, preaching or gift of hospitality - is spiritual, not materialized gift, is perceived as the gift of Jehovah, that is Jehovah is in the center of events and He should be honored - That, who gives gifts.
The New World Translation gives quite other sense to the "gifts" . “Gift in form of men" is a materialized gift , and in the center of events is a "man", an appointed elder of the congregation, and he should be honored – that one, who was given as a gift . Such formulation of truth of Jehovah acquires the sense of making an idol out of a man – WT 01.12.00 p.16 par.9.     ( about honoring of elders)
Undoubtedly, from the point of view of the Bible it is correctly to honor the labor of just teachers. Apostle Paul taught: - "Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honor" -1Tim.5:17. However, it is wrong to build the doctrines on the fact that already the status of an elder is automatically sufficient for his honoring. As it is obvious from the words of Paul, the honor to get a gift from Jehovah – to "be a priest" - for a servant of Jehovah not always means to use it in appropriate manner. The examples of king Saul and Diotrephes prove it: in their cases the phrase "Jehovah gave Saul (Diotrephes) a gift to manage the state (congregation)" - means that the gift of Jehovah was good, but they used this gift wrong. The phrase of the New World Translation "Jehovah gave gift to the people in form of Saul (Diotrephes)" – shows Jehovah in wrong way, because Diotrephes and Saul would be "bad" gifts from Jehovah, which can not be.
Thus, New World Translation -"gift in form of materialized men" will disparage Jehovah in cases, if unworthy elders will require honoring. Absolute honor deserves only Jehovah - Acts 5:27,29, 20:29,30, 2 Sam. 23:3.

Isaiah 60:17: - also about "materialized" gifts

Synod translation -"..and will make peace your ruler, and truth - your supervisors".
Macarius -"..and will put peace your government, and truth - your supervisors"

King James Bible – “I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors righteousness”
I.Ogijenko - "I will make peace your watch and justness your chiefs"
Tanakh - will "put peace instead of your rulers, justice instead of your oppressors"
New World " I will appoint peace as your overseers and righteousness as your task assigners"
According to most translations, in the future not materialized supervisors from the people  will "supervise" the God`s people, but spiritual qualities of everybody – justness (truth), love to peace, righteousness. High spirituality of society of the new world will provide its prosperity, well-being and absence of human oppressors - Is.28:17, 32:15-18.
It is very difficult to understand the New World Translation to a beginner without an additional comment from WT 01.07.02 p.16, which reports about elders as "task assigners ". But there is nothing about that, how "your justness" is related to assigning of tasks or depends on them.

Luke 23:43:

Synod translation - "..truly I tell you, you will be today with me in the paradise.."
King Jacob - "Verily I say unto thee. Today shall thou be with me in the paradise."
Ogijenko - " I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in the paradise.."
New World - " .. truly I tell you today , you will be with me in to paradise.."
From transfer of the comma the sense changes in the famous phrase, where a comma can either rescue or ruin: " To execute it is impossible to forgive" . However in order to explain the known Biblical facts about Christ, it was unnecessarily for the New World Translation to put comma on the other place.
Nobody will dispute the Biblical fact that Jesus Christ did not "get" into the paradise on the day of His death, because other places of the Scriptures simply report that He will sit at Jehovah`s right hand until Jehovah makes His enemies His footstool - Psal.110:1,2, Mat.25:19. Having said to the robber "today you will be with me in the paradise" does not mean the same day in literal sense.
Jesus knew that death is like sleep, when the person does not feel either time or worries. Having said to the robber - "today you will be with me in the paradise" - Jesus meant, that the robber will fall asleep and will not notice, how the time of his death sleep will pass.
Whenever the robber "wakes up” in the paradise, it will seem a very short interval of time for him, like "today". All know well the situation, when the person slept through all the night, but it seems to him, as if he did not sleep at all.

Matthew 13:49

Synod - " so it will be at the end of the world: angels will come and will separate the wicked from among the just.."
King Jacob -"So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just."
Ogijenko - " angels will come and will pick out the wicked from among the righteous"
New World Translation - "angels will go out and separate the wicked from among the righteous"; in the Russian variant in the interlineal translation: “angels will go out and separate the wicked from the righteous
According to most translations by the "end of the world" in the environment of the just (among the just) will be also the "wicked". Other places of the Scriptures also confirm with this idea: Jesus warns that in the last days through the gospel about Kingdom "fish" of every kind will be collected into one large fishing net, however the caught fish will have to be sorted out onto suitable and useless.
Parable about presence of a stranger not in wedding garment at the wedding feast warns of the same - Mat.22:10,11.
Apostle Paul also warned the anointed sovereigns of the first Christian congregations that into their environment grievous wolves will get, not sparing the flock – Acts 20:29,30. Message to 7 churches - Rev.2,3 - also testify that on the day of Lord exactly in the congregations of veritable christians different types of lawlessness will take place.
Why does the Russian variant of the New World Translation ignore this fact – is also strange.

Philippians 2:6

Synod translation: - "..he, being the image of God, did not think it a theft to be equal to God"
King Jacob - "..being in the form of God, thought it not robbery, to be equal with God.."
Ogijenko - " being the image of God, did not mean it the robbery to be equal to God"
New World - "although he was existing in God`s form, gave no consideration to a seizure that he should be equal to God.."
In order to explain the inequality of status of Jesus and Jehovah, it is simply unnecessarily to change the formulation of this text in such a way, because the phrase " thought it not robbery, to be equal with God" quite does not mean this equality in status and position. This phrase means equality in origin - Jesus was before (in the sky) in the image of God (in form of God) that is the spiritual personality - a spirit, god in origin. By the way, in order to emphasize this idea - the existence of Jesus before He became a man exactly in form of a spirit - God, the New World translated John 1:18 so: the only begotten god who is in the bosom with the Father is the one that has explained him”. Word "the only begotten" in relation to Jesus can mean that Jesus - "of one family" with God. Exactly the word "only-begotten" in relation to Isaac can mean - "of one family" with Abraham, because Isaac was not "only-begotten" in sense the only son of Abraham - Hebr.11:17. Abraham had children from Hagar and his wife after Sarah - Keturah -  Genesis 21:9, 25:1,2
About the presence of intelligent creatures in different forms the Bible explains both for spirits and for men, calling the imperfect men in origin - sons of a man - Ez.2:3, 33:7, angels or spirits – gods in origin - sons of God - Gen.6:2, Job 38:7, Hebr.1:14. For example, words of the Bible " Adam gave birth to a son in his image, after his likeness"- Gen.5:3 - means that an imperfect man gave birth to an imperfect man, who looks like Adam. (Son of a tiger is a tiger cub, son of a man is a man, son of God is a god)
Further phrase of this context - Phil.2:7 - confirms the idea about equality of existence of Jesus before His birth as a man with Jehovah originally as a spirit-god: Jesus, being the spiritual personality, on His own will took a lower (compared to a celestial angel) position - "abased" Himself to the image of a man, becoming an earthly carnal man by appearance.
(In the system of things of Jehovah there will be sons of God not in origin, but on spiritual essence: both people and spirits whom Jehovah will let to live after Armageddon, will live on the principles of the Father - Jehovah - Rom.8:21,22)
In this article only a few places of the Scriptures are given for comparison, which embarrassed some attentive researchers of the Bible.
We would like to advise to read the Note once more and consider of the fact that translators of different translations, countries and times translated the ancient copies of manuscripts of the Scriptures, but not the "foreign" Bibles, available at their times. And if the texts of the same verses in different translations of Bibles coincide in sense it means that they are near in sense to the word of Jehovah.
But if the texts do not coincide in sense, it is necessary to accept as a correct translation that one which comports with the other places of the Scriptures - see the publication of Society "Reasoning of the Scriptures'" 2003 p.394, par.4. If a man does not pay attention to other parts of the Bible and builds his faith on a favorite text of a certain translation, then his faith reflects not God`s word actually, but his personal opinion, or, possibly, the opinion of other imperfect people.
We will end the article by the quotation from WT 01.10.97 p.20: "..if in an inspired translation the name of God is taken out, is it possible to say with confidence that the translators did not distort the other parts of the text of the Bible?"
In this case a similar question arises: if translators kept the name of God, but distorted some texts of the Scriptures in sense, is it possible to say with confidence that we read the word of Jehovah?
In case if the witnesses of Jehovah will be officially permitted to use not only the translation of the New World but also the others - Synod, for example, the most widespread in Russian language, it is even wonderful - to enrich our collection of the Sacred texts with one more translation of the New World, which is rather comfortable for the modern readers.
However if question to use the translation of the New World or not will outgrow in course of time into a question of trust to the organization, and the use of other translations will be "pursued" by responsible brothers, it can happen that the translation of the New world will play  not the last role for the people of Jehovah at the final stage of the last days.
